Really, the main drawback seems to be that this nit panel doesn’t do as good a job as the nit one in countering sun glare. Various third-party apps, including Facebook, Evernote and Google Drive, crashed on more than one occasion during our review. The optional docking keyboard features full QWERTY keys, trackpad as well as an additional battery that increases overall battery life from 8. Factor in the decent camera, slightly more polished trahsformer, clean Android experience, nice app selection and the useful dock, and you’ve once again got yourself a good deal.

The dock is also home two full-size ports — a USB 2. The keyboard dock itself feels identical to the Prime’s aside from its plastic body, with transtormer only other major difference being that the USB port has a cover that remains adhered to the device when you open it. It should go without qsus that the new dock isn’t percent simpatico with the Prime or OG Transformer either, since the TF dock was designed specifically to cradle the Even so, this makes for a welcome improvement over the 5-megapixel camera included on last year’s model.

When connected, the Transformer Pad TF folds over onto the keyboard dock and acts like a regular notebook. Cons Some performance hiccupsBattery life not as epic as on the PrimeOptional keyboard dock scuffs easily, still isn’t that comfortable to type on. Notice, too, that the TF notches a particularly wide lead in graphics tests like NenaMark. Our TF model sported a Transformeg Blue finish with a finely grooved back and an embossed silver Asus logo in the middle.
The default Web browser works smoothly one minute, but is sluggish and unresponsive the next. The processor is an Nvidia Tegra 3 T30L at 1. We’ve yet to complete a test with the full dock, but rest assured we’re on it. The keyboard itself makes typing easier and more effective than a touchscreen, but it’s far from perfect.

Sidewalk Labs’ street signs alert people to data collection in use. Some red begonias, for instance, were actually magenta, if our resulting pictures are to be believed. Using this keyboard on a regular basis wouldn’t be my first choice, but I could see myself getting used to its somewhat cramped for my hands feel after a while. The snappier response time and better multi-tasking performance make the Transformer Pad a true mobile entertainment powerhouse.
With the help of the keyboard docking station, the TF’s battery life stretched to 12 hours and four minutes. The File Manager accesses the TF’s root directory, providing easy and organized access to every file on your drive or expanded memory unit.
We’ll update this review once we get a final score. It’s fine for use on a desk or table, but trying to sit the Transformer Pad on your lap is a frustrating experience. The best feature of this device is its longevity. There’s no reason for a product with such strong tech credentials to stumble over the mundane stuff.
